Alan Anderson began this company on what the locals called "Riverside Road" in Blackhoof Township in Barnum, Minnesota in 1980. At that time there was essentially no market for wood flooring, however seeing the beauty and durability in them he persevered and developed a reputation as a meticulous and conscientious wood floor contractor. He then moved his growing business to Esko, Minnesota in 1984 to be more accessible to his customer base. The last move was made to our current location in Duluth in 1992 with an expanded showroom and staff of floor mechanics to meet the ever growing needs of the wood flooring industry.
Riverside Flooring is a member in good standing with the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) which trains and educates people thru out the world on quality wood flooring standards. Riverside is also a member of the Arrowhead Builders Association (ABA) in Duluth, Minnesota. This association is affiliated with the National Builders Association and Minnesota Builders Associations.
We strive to stay up to date on wood floor types and styles. If we don't have the answer we can certainly try and find it.
